Before there was a finished book, there was a classified ad.
In 2011, Terry placed a small newspaper ad offering to visit cemeteries on behalf of people who couldn’t go themselves. It was simple. Practical. Slightly unusual.
The press noticed.
One article turned into another. Then another.
The coverage unfolded in public. I was writing in real time.
